How to save files in dynamic folder instead of custom path?

Hi.

I know we can override default path by implementing PathGenertor
But it is still a “fixed” location.
Is there a way we can create dynamic sub folder accordingly to record-type and save files? Is there a way i could pass a dynamic subfolder name and store the path in media table?

Any advice ?
