Spatie Creates Empty Folders on Delete with Custom Path Generator

I am using a custom path generator and when I delete a file, a folder with the model id will be created in app/public

The custom path generator code is:

            break;
    }
    error_log($media->model_type);
    return $this->getBasePath($media);

Using php artisan media-library:clean will delete the orphaned folder, I am deleting the photo using: $media = Media::find($id)->forceDelete();
