Media on default database and model on different

Hi; Is there any magic way to tame such a topic. The media is in the default database. The model is in a different database. I'm juggling setConnection. but it doesn't work. For example, it does not work for media-library-collection. I can display files by setting setconnection but when adding new files it is tearing that there is no table because of course it is not the right database.
