Trouble with conversions

Hello! I'm having trouble with conversions.

1. I think I was under the impression from the docs that preview/thumbnails are generated automatically for files, including PDFs, but I have not found this to be the case. It would be helpful for someone to clarify that for me.
2. When I change the name of my defined conversion to either 'preview' or 'previe', I get the error message

Spatie\MediaLibrary\MediaCollections\Exceptions\InvalidConversion:
There is no conversion named `preview` in /[my_path]/vendor/spatie/laravel-medialibrary/src/MediaCollections/Exceptions/InvalidConversion.php:11

I really don't know what to make of all these issues.

I am running Laravel 10.48.9 on PHP 8.3.6 with Spatie Media Library v 11.5.0
