When calculate the energy spectra (in flux) from spin-avg and from pa product for He++, there is a factor of 4 differences. It seems that the pitch angle spectra is 4 times smaller due to the calculation in mms_convert_flux_units doesn't consider per charge in the factor A.

This is the same for IDL spedas version as well.

The constant A should be 2 for He++ not 4. (mass per charge)
