Excluding directories

Hi Patrick, I have a lot of topics to discuss about but I am really refraining.

One, at least, it sounds reasonable and may have sense for you and other Publishers… 😏

I wonder if you can add also an exclude option for directories, so whatever command you run these directories will be ignored.

Does this idea make sense?

I assume you mean a specific directory and all its sub-directories? That makes sense.

when I have

a
├── b
│   └── c
└── d

and then add a and exclude b, then c will also excluded but d will be added, correct?

Yes correct, it make sense!
Once you exclude a directory this is extended to all the sub-directories.

I could implement this. The problem here can be that if you want to exclude directory b, there can be more than one directory b that gets excluded.

Perhaps --no-local could help? And add the directories you need with --extra-dir?

Now that you breaking down the problem, it doesn't looks so smart as I initially thought.
I already changed my behavior, I used to have working images inside the directory images, I moved this outside and it is already ignored.

I overthought about a problem that is mostly irrelevant.
