When I try to play a game, a negative-color filter is applied onto the 360 panorama image from google maps, and a message is placed over the image that says "for development purposes only"

This is the behaviour when the daily quota for the Google Maps API key has been reached. You can host the game locally with your own API key or wait until the quota resets at midnight Pacific Time.
