Error When Using Default Splitting Values

When using default splitting values such as percentages, the values report an error unless a change is made to all boxes. See below. This happens when editing an expense as well. I don't think it's picking up the default values when doing the check, instead using zeros or empty strings.

I don't believe this to be the same issues as #446
