Clean up legacy fallbacks in GdAdapter #2
Description
There's still a lot of code that tries to be conservative about available libGD functions. I think it's safe to assume that modern installations are more complete and we can remove a lot of the defensive mechanisms and fallbacks.
Look for all the function_exists() checks...
