I'm Matt Haberland, a mechanical engineer turned open source scientific software developer. From 2018 to 2025, I was a professor at Cal Poly working on the SciPy library as research. I resigned to focus on open source software development full-time. Most of my work is on scipy.stats, but I often make contributions to other SciPy sub-packages, and I created marray, which adds masks to your array library of choice.
