What is the status of this project?

I already asked this on Gitter, but I got no responses there, so I'm trying my luck here.

Could someone from the maintainers comment on the status of reactor-rabbitmq?
The last commit was done more than 2 years ago, I see no git activity. The dependencies (amqp client...) are very much outdated.

Is this project abandoned for good? Are there any recommended alternatives or successors?
