Have you tried the carbon option in predbat? This takes grid carbon levels into account so can prioritise export when the grid needs it most. This is not 100% aligned to Agile export rates but might be a good proxy |

Hi,
Hope someone can clarify how to do this please?
I'm on Octopus Agile Import, and Fixed Outgoing Octopus export tariffs.
Predbat is making a fantastic job of planning my solar+batteries :)
I noticed that over the past week, when Agile Import prices have been "excellent", and predbat has been making great use of this to charge/discharge my batteries and is earning a few £'s in the process.
What I'd like to do, is to use the Agile Export prices to influence predbat's decision of when to export. So the brown energy is more likely to be exported when the grid would benefit from it.
If I change my defined export tariff in predbat to use the Agile Export prices, then all of the price calculations/graphs will be incorrect, compared to the reality of being on Outgoing Octopus.
I had a look at the predbat API, to overide the export hourly rates, but I think this also affects the predbat price calculations/graphs? And to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to write an automation/script to download the Agile Export prices and poke them into the API.
What do you think, is this possible?
Cheers,
Chris.
