At the moment predbat doesn't have a feedback loop or any prediction of knowing when your hot water is already hot enough, so it assumes you will keep on diverting energy to your iboost until input_number.predbat_iboost_max_energy is reached https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/customisation/#iboost-model-options What do you have input_number.predbat_iboost_max_energy set to? It is a bit strange that predbat keeps on predicting solar diversion. To make the plan more accurate you could create an automation to set input_number.predbat_iboost_max_energy to your current iboost energy today when the automation detects that the tank is hot enough. This would at least stop predbat planning on using iboost all the way into the future |

I have been using predbat since I had my new array installed and it works without fail, I have integrated by iBoost+ using an ESP32 device so it can be added into the calculations.
Now this is where my idea comes in - from the predictions i can see the "iBoost kWH" has how much power has been diverted so far.. but at 12:01 my iboost mode was "Water Tank HOT" - So if my water is already hot should the value not now be Zero, and no longer need to be calculated ?
If the calculations are for more complex than my simple view that I am OK with that - can you confirm though if this would effect the future calculations ?
