Website only lists versions 3, 4, and 5

The docs at

https://docs.spyder-ide.org/current/

and elsewhere all have a drop-down menu in the upper left to choose which version of Spyder the docs are for... but they only list versions 3, 4, and 5. Version 6 has been out for a while; the docs should probably reflect that.

(Also, you might want to make a snapshot of the docs for the last version of 5, like you did for 3 and 4?)

Hey @luciansmith, thanks for reporting. The docs will be updated to Spyder 6 during the first half of the year.

In the meantime, I don't think it makes sense to add version 6 to the dropdown because it'll show the same docs as for Spyder 5.

Would it work to list it as '5/6'? I had assumed the docs were just out of date and no longer updating.

The docs are actually outdated. I mean, if you look at the screenshots and gifs, you'll see they display the Spyder 5 UI.

We're about to cut a separate branch for 6.x so it'll show up separately, and are starting a series of PRs (such as #399 ) to update the images and text for Spyder 6. Thanks for your patience on this!
