refactor(test): refactor test helpers and improve result validation

Introduces helper functions for query execution and result checking, including support for string and double comparisons with expected values. Replaces direct db_exec calls with more robust validation in test cases, adds verbose/debug output, and improves error reporting. Also adds a summary report for each test section in main().
