Mermaid Diagram rendering as code block

Apologies if I'm doing something foolish ... An hints on why the mermaid diagram is rendering as a code block would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the docker container and following this : https://squidfunk.github.io/mkdocs-material/reference/diagrams/

Since you're using the Docker image, it sounds that you're not an user of Insiders. The Mermaid integration is currently reserved to sponsors, but it's in the next funding goal which might be reached in a few weeks or months time 😊 Your options:

• Sponsor and use the native Mermaid integration immediately
• Wait until the funding goal is reached
• Use mkdocs-mermaid2-plugin

I have the same problem, not using Docker. I feel like I've tried every combination of configs, including the mermaid2 plugin, but nothing makes any difference.

Are you using the latest version of Material for MkDocs? Mermaid support was released into the community edition in 8.2.0.
