Search stopped working: invalid query

Hi! After we upgraded from old material version to a latest insiders version (material-insiders-8.2.15-insiders-4.15.2) our search stopped working, it fails with error:

I have many records in my search index that contain this word
A bit of a context:

• we modified the theme but not the search logic
• documentation builds wit no errors

I would appreciate any help!

Could you please update to the latest version of Insiders? We're currently on 4.18.x. Furthermore, if the error persists, please create a minimal reproducible example (remove all customizations, try to narrow it down), and I can take a look.

I just tested with regular 8.3.5, the search works. But I get the same error when use mkdocs-material-insiders-8.3.5-insiders-4.18.1. I will try my best to provide an example
