Git revision date and Git commiters not showing on GitHub pages

Symptoms

There is a difference between my local preview and GitHub pages.

Here is what I see locally:

And here is what appears on GitHub Pages:

(Don't mind the color change, it's a browser issue. The source code is identical).

Relevant files

Here is my yml:

And here are the installs I've added to the workflow:

I'd like to render the page on GitHub as seen locally.

Hello, your workflow example shows that you install the base mkdocs-material. The icons/avatars are an Insiders only feature. Follow the getting started guide to install the Insiders version in the workflow instead of the base version. However, I don't have access to Insiders myself therefore I can't give more guidance.

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of this page and installed the zip :)
I proceeded with the correct installation locally, but I still get the same result: it does work locally but isn't rendered on GitHub Pages

I don't think there is any installation from the zip on GitHub Pages 🤔. If you mean your local PC, then you have the Insiders files loaded locally and GitHub Pages don't have access to those files since it downloads the base variant via pip install mkdocs-material.
The workflow file, basically runs operations on a different computer. The guide linked above explains that you have to get a top secret access token, and then use the built-in GH_TOKEN variable to access it in the pip install git+https://${GH_TOKEN}@github.com/squidfunk/mkdocs-material-insiders.git command.

I assume you could run mkdocs gh-deploy --force from your local PC, form inside the repository you're using, you'd basically bypass the workflow and use the files you have locally installed.

What @kamilkrzyskow says is correct, it looks like you're not using Insiders on GitHub Pages. Please see our documentation for a GitHub Pages workflow to deploy a page with Insiders.
