Man-in-the-Middle Attack in 5G: Exploiting Malicious gNB for Core Network Interception

If I want to generate a man in the middle attack , then the malicious gNB ( other than the original gNB which is connected to Free 5gc) should be connected to which core network? In that case , how can we show that the malicious gNB is not the same one as the original?
