When using srsRAN_Project to have Multi-UE emulation using srsRAN_4G ZMQ Radios, is there a way to know the maximum number of UEs a single host machine can handle? I tried looking in the documentation for specific hardware requirements (i.e., minimum storage, RAM for a N number of UEs), however I could not find information regarding this.
I am currently following this guide and using GNU Radio as the broker:
https://docs.srsran.com/projects/project/en/latest/tutorials/source/srsUE/source/index.html#overview
From what I understand, srsRAN theoretically allows infinite number of UEs (as well as GNU Radio), however I would like to know how this can be quantified given certain hardware limitations.
Current Hardware Specifications:
Proxmox VM
Ubuntu 22.04
16 GB RAM
256 GB Storage
16 Cores
Thank you in advance for any assistance!
