RFE: "Shift" key should immediately end letter compose grace time

Hi,

I'd love to see the following improvement.

Current situtation:

(1) Press "shift" to compose a capital letter
(2) Press a key (e.g. multiple times) to select the letter
(3) Press "shift" to make the next letter small
(4) ISSUE: Oh no! You did not wait long enough! The capital letter becomes small again.

Improved situtation:

(1) like above
(2) live above
(3) like above
(4) NEW: While within the grace time to compose a letter, pressing "shift" should end that time immediately. From the user's view it is entirely clear that pressing "shift" is not meant for the current letter but the following one.

Summary:

Whenever "shift" is pressed during letter compose grace time it should end it as if we had waited for the time to end.

Advantage:

Much faster typing words with a capital letter.

I don't think the Shift key should do anything like that. Sorry to disappoint you!

If the wait time feels too long, you can adjust it from Settings -> Keypad -> ABC Mode -> Automatic Letter Selection.

I bit sad to not having any reason why not to implement that. I see definitively no use case to keep the situation as-is. Nobody will ever change a capital letter back to a small one. It feels like a misbehaviour.

And the adjustment of time is unrelated.

Besides being a developer, I also use the keyboard everyday. And as a user, I would like to be able to adjust the current letter or word, not the next one. Actually, it is quite important to me.
