Why are my fans spinning at max speed?

I don't know why but everytime I start using FossFlow on the browser, my fans start spinning at max speed. My CPU, memory, network or disk usage are all in the normals. Nothing shocking.

Yet everytime I open FossFlow on my web brower, they start to spin high. The moment I close the tab, they start to spin down.

I am using Zen Brower (Firefox based), FossFlow is being hosted on a Docker VM on a Proxmox server, my system is Arch Linux.

There are a few problems with the underlying renderer that I'm working on, but it is doing quite a lot of rendering.
Firefox has issues with rendering the DOM compared to Chrome, it is so much slower, and in addition, dom-to-image-more which is what we use for exporting images is not really compatible with FF.
Lifelong FF user myself, but there are just some things I can't get around.

If you'd be able to send some BTOP or htop screenshots whilst you're running this, that would be great so I can get an idea of your hardware

@timove @Gapoly I've made some changes to the way that tools are called, and reduced the number re-renders being done, hopefully this goes some way to improving what you're seeing

@stan-smith ah, nice. I retried with my setup above (Linux, Brave). I opened https://stan-smith.github.io/FossFLOW/ Unfortunately with the same results. 100% CPU usage on 1 core by Brave, fans spinning high.

Brave 1.85.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 143.0.7499.192

I have the same issue using Brave (Chromium) on macOS. CPU usage reaches 100 % and the fans are spinning audibly while I usually never hear them on my Macbook.
