"You must install .NET" dialogue every time

Describe the bug
The "To run this application, you must install .NET" prompt appears every time I try to fire up the app, but when I press Yes, nothing happens.

This is on a Windows 11 machine, with .NET core up to v7.0 installed.

To Reproduce
Using Windows 11, run MetaParser.exe

Expected behavior
Automated installation of a .NET component and/or the program runs

It's not .Net core, it's .Net. Maybe it's a bug on a Windows side, when it can't determine the version installed. You can download it directly from Microsoft here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-5.0.0-windows-x64-installer

Also had this replicate; when pressing Yes it does not open the relevant download page.

Might recommend including a note on the Readme (step 3 where it mentions .NET) of the manual download link if that fails.

Same here.
window 10.
it asks the same question and does not do anything after that.
so i guess since developer failed to fix this, can we consider this abandoned project?

meh, still same on windows 11 with NET v8 (irfanView) :/

ahh I clicked through the files a bit to find teh build maybe in some line and in the "gitignore" it says build 5.0, so I tried that one and it works now.
