Variant stack overlay not working properly

Description

When i open a variant and the overlay is opening, it seems that alle the basic CP functionality is gone. I am not able to change the image, custom fields like a toogle is not updating in the UI and a custom replicator is throwing a js error in the console.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to Shopify products
2. Open a variant with an image
3. Try to save the variant -> there is an error saying the image could not be found, but in general all the JS functionality seems to be gone completely like mentioned in the description

What is the JS console error? My guess it will be related to the extra fields you have added to the variant blueprint - all of this has been rewritten for the upcoming release that supports Statamic v6.

It happens also on default blueprint without any custom fields. Is it not happening on your side?

I mean this fieldtype has been updated to support Statamic v6 when it is released and the code is completely rewritten for it.

@ryanmitchell i tried older versions of the addon, but nothing seems to work. do you have any recommendation for running this addon on statamic v5?

The addon works fine for me on v5; I'm really not sure what you're seeing or what the error is - if you can provide the JS console error as asked initially I may be able to direct you better.

So i have the base installation of the addon. When i open the variant i cannot see the image. The image itself is there and it shows in the product gallery, but not in the variation overlay.
The second issue is: when i try to modify images within the variation overlay i it throws a JS error as soon as i save after image selection (see screenshot). Are the images on the variant working for your properly?

The first time i select an image I get the same JS - its due to how publish forms worked in v5 and as I said before the logic has been rewritten for the upcoming v6.

If you then go back and in and select an image again it works fine:

The 'gallery' field works fine for me first time.

The variants overlay is just a grouping of the appropriate variants in: https://yoursite.com/cp/collections/variants

I appreciate that I'm pushing back a bit, but I'm reticent to fix this in v5 when we have a working fix in the v6 PR: #315

Closing as we've released v7.0.0 which includes a new stack overlay component based on Statamic's UI elements.
