Nav tag with children in blade

Any example on a multi level menu inside a blade template?

 <ul id="menu" class="">

            @foreach (Statamic::tag('nav:main') as $navItem)

                <li class="nav-item" {{ $navItem['is_current'] ? 'active' : '' }}>

                    <a class="nav-link" href="{{ $navItem['url'] }}">{{ $navItem['title'] }}</a>

                </li>

            @endforeach

        </ul> 

This works only for the first level of the menu and I didn't find any documentation on how to render nested items.
