Ability to search for Asset folders

Have been looking into if there's an existing way of allowing to search for asset folders in the CP ( have a client who has a large number of files and folders).
If anyone has attempted something like this any tips would be appreciated.
Alternatively would be a neat default functionality to have in Statamic and help with large folder structures, some other CMSs (like WP with RML plugin) allow that.
