The game needs to have some kind of run based progression.

Idea -

After every 5 waves there is a boss wave.
After defeating a boss you gain a random Aquan Core.

The core allows the player to choose 1 of 3 upgrades based on the core type. Upgrades provide a range of bonuses to keep it fun.

Red Core -

  • 2 to 5% increased damage
  • 5 to 10% increased fire rate
  • 5 to 10% increased range
  • 1 to 5% chance to deal double damage
  • +1-2 level damage
  • +1-2 level range
  • +1-2 level fire rate

Blue Core -

  • 1 to 3 increased shields
  • 10% chance for shield not to be depleted on hit
  • 5 to 10% decrease in shield recharge
  • 5% chance for 2 shields to regenerate instead of 1
  • +1-2 level shield
  • +1-2 level shield recharge

Green Core -

  • 2 to 5% increase in speed
  • 2 to 5% increase in accelleration
  • +1-2 level speed
  • +1-2 level accelleration
