📋 Master Document Checklist for Spousal Green Card

✅ USCIS Stage - Form I-130 Packet

Required Forms

  • Form I-130 (signed and dated)
  • Form G-1145 (for email/text notifications) - optional but recommended
  • Check for $675 (payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security)

Petitioner (US Citizen) Documents

  • Proof of US Citizenship (one of the following):
    • US Passport (copy of biographical page)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Certificate of Naturalization
    • Certificate of Citizenship
  • Proof of Name Changes (if applicable):
    • Court orders

Beneficiary (Chinese Spouse) Documents

  • Financial Evidence:
    • Joint bank account statements (12 months)
    • Joint credit card statements

    • Employment verification letter
    • Recent pay stubs (6 months)
  • Assets (if using to qualify):
    • Bank statements (12 months)
    • Investment account statements
    • Property appraisals
    • Vehicle titles

Civil Documents (Beneficiary)

  • DS-260 confirmation page
  • Passport
  • Birth certificate (original + translation)

    • China (current residence)
    • Any country lived in for 12+ months after age 16

  • Sealed medical exam envelope (DO NOT OPEN)

  • Interview appointment letter
  • DS-260 confirmation page
  • Valid passport
  • All original civil documents
  • Form I-864 original

All documents not in English must include:

  • Certified English translation
  • Translator's certification statement
