Audio Failure Error

Describe the Bug

Heya!
I installed the Linux version of the launcher on my Steam Deck, and after putting my ROMs in and launching the launcher. I get a window that is just light blue, and an error that says "Error: Failed to play audio". There is no other info in the error.

Reproduction Steps

Download latest Linux build (1.0.0 at the time of writing)
Place your two ROM files in the same folder
Run the program

Expected Behavior

Launcher should launch
(Maybe give a little more info on why the audio failed?)

Actual Behavior

Program errors out and hangs

I am also running into this error with the Linux launcher on Steam Deck.

I have the same problems running on Desktop Linux, specifically Fedora 41.
While the process is hanging, a directory is made in /tmp with lots of files - mostly .so files (sadly no logs) and it's removed when the hanging process ends.
Strace output enormous and not showing an obvious cause of trouble but could be appended to here if desired
