Multi-monitor setup shows previews in active display, even if dock is on the other screen

If the dock is on a screen that is not currently active, hovering on the dock items brings the previews on the active screen, "glued" to the edge closest to the active screen.

On top of that, I'm getting an error while checking for updates, the app is on the Applications folder, but I get a message saying the it can't check for updates if the app is running from the folder it was downloaded to.
