bug: Keeps Asking for Microphone Access on arm macOS (Sequoia & Tahoe Public Beta) #1144

Description

@Dunkindude

What happened?

When Revolt is or is not focused, it continually sends microphone access request prompts to the user when the app receives an action. These come up in bunches of ~6, varying with more or less at random. If the user is trying to engage in a voice channel, the prompts send them ~15 times, guaranteed. It seems to occur when the application is receiving updates, be it receiving a message or interacting with elements within the Revolt app; seems to be at random upon a new action. Despite giving or denying microphone access, they will not stop showing up. Does not stop upon giving microphone access manually in settings. I only have two options for microphones on my system (headset mic and dedicated mic.) Does not occur in the web app.
Given that microphone prompts completely deny user interaction with the software until all are cleared, this makes the application borderline unusable given their frequency of appearance.
