Accomplished Tasks

• Built a Telegram bot interface that lets users interact with a decentralized file vault powered by ElizaOS and Storacha.
• Integrated the @storacha/elizaos-plugin to handle distributed file storage and retrieval via IPFS.
• Enabled seamless Telegram file uploads (images, documents, PDFs) that are streamed directly to IPFS via Eliza.
• Handled multipart form-data formatting to match Eliza’s expected input schema.

Update

• Completed a working prototype that connects user intent on Telegram with Eliza Agent actions (STORAGE_UPLOAD, STORAGE_RETRIEVE).
• Integrated file download flow using Telegram’s getFile → fetch → buffer → upload logic into a single seamless transaction.
• What went well:
  • ElizaOS plugin worked out of the box with clean API and agent action mapping.
  • Successfully routed both text and binary data (files) into Eliza’s memory using multipart forms.
• What was challenging:
  • Handling TypeScript type constraints for Telegram’s polymorphic message structure.
  • Ensuring the full agent response array (especially file links) were sent back via Telegram.
  • Managing file fetch, buffer streaming, and upload under memory constraints on VPS.

Questions

• How can I optimize CID response times when using Eliza in memory-constrained environments?
• Is there a recommended way to group/retrieve files using semantic tags or labels?
• Can we chain Eliza agents (e.g. for approval workflows or vault sharing between users)?
• How should I handle large files in Eliza plugins (e.g. limit enforcement, chunk streaming)?

Next Tasks

• Add file label/naming support (e.g. "my_resume.pdf") and CID-based lookup by name.
• Integrate UCAN delegation into the Telegram bot for permissioned storage and retrieval.
• Support encrypted vaults per user using Lit Protocol or TEE integration.
• Enable natural command parsing for retrieval like "get my resume from last week".
• Log every upload and CID to a MongoDB-backed activity feed.
