Accomplished Tasks

• Add py-ipld-car library to the ipld codecs fixtures repo here.
• Begin porting the codec module of the js-unixfs library to python in the py-ipld-unixfs library

Update

• Tested the py-ipld-car library with the CAR fixtures in the ipld codecs fixtures repo here. See PR here
  • The tests pass locally but due to slight dependency issues in the py-ipld-car library, the tests cannot run in the CI pipeline of the codec-fixtures.
  • I made a PR here to fix the issue in the py-ipld-car library
  • There is also useful feedback from the codec-fixtures maintainer that I hope to use in adjusting the PR. Also awaiting reviews from @ash when he's free.
• Started porting the codec module of the js-unixfs library to the [python library] (https://github.com/storacha/py-ipld-unixfs/). See PR here

Next Tasks

• Continue porting the codec module of the js-unixfs library to python
• Ensure the tests for the CAR library pass in the codecs-fixture repository and make changes suggested by the maintainer of the repository.
