Unable to verify any VAT outside my country

Hello,

I am trying to implement VAT calculations on the checkout. Everything seems to work, except when I am trying to check validity of VAT number from any other country. I collected some real and working (double checked) VAT numbers from different countries (Estonia, Portugal, Latvia), do select the correct country in both dropdowns and get error VAT number was not verifed. Please try again..

What could be the reasons for this error? The only country this checkup works with is Lithuania for now. Also tried multiple variations of codes (with country code, without).

This sounds like your site may not be able to get a response for the VAT number from the VIES validation service. Please can you open a support ticket on www.paidmembershipspro.com/support and our team will help debug this and look into it further for you.
