API calls

i would like to build an app for linux , windows , android and ios for streama , i will use ai to help me on that like it did in multiples other projects , however the documentation is poor , where can i get the streama api calls so i can implement them in the app ?

just open the streama source code and run claude ocde and ask it to write you a comprehensive api documentation. That would probably yield a pretty good first result

Basically i will do everything from scratch , a python app in linux witch will be compiled also for windows and the apk will be the base for IOS , but i want to do it with Gemini Pro , gemini is straight forward

It is starting to get some form , it may take a while , i would probably need some ideas from you , however this is working in python .

the linux app is ready , basically we (me and gemini) decided to use webinterface from pyside2 instead using an embedded player , we tried multiples options but it could give arrors ahead depending on each user linux configuration , we also tried implementing vlc as internal web player but if user is running as root then will prompt errors ahead , instead we used a web interface witch is based on chromium , this app does not require chromium web browser to be installed , the pyside2 app dependency already have it embedded , you can test it here

next i will compile this app to windows using pyinstaller where user can run the app directly .

i changed the app to pyside6 due the codecs limitations of pyside2 in windows , i also changed the whole layout of the app , now it does not display the same way as it was in pyside2 , it displays the subtitles , it was an hardwork to make subtitles work in pyside6 because pyside6 only allows subtitles hardcoded in videos to be displayed , like mkv files , but streama only plays mp4 and we can add the subtitles indenpedently in the media server , anyway when you startup a movie you may see a little box in center on the app displaying the video but after changing the app to full screen or moving the app window a bit to any side the app automatically adjusts to full display , it is a minor bug i am fixing with gemini , i am on multiple projects here , so it may take a while , but app is fully functional in here , when i get time i will compile it to windows and test , this version in my git was only tested yet in linux , when i get some time i will try to compile it in windows exe and run it if it displays the media content properly . I gave up on first version because it was working perfectly on linux but not in windows . Android and ios will be later after everything is finished and fixed .

App is finished for linux client and windows client , binaries compiled for both OS , however is user wants to run the binary in a 32bit OS in linux then it must use the source code and install the requirements , in case it is a 64bit then just need to download the binary and run it without the need for dependencies , however user can also run the source code in 64bit linux OS , just need to install the requirements .
Windows app was also pre compiled to work with windows 7 32bit as minimum windows OS , this app will work on every windows OS above 7 no matter if it is 32bit or 64bit , but not bellow .
Watch later like in webserver of streama does not work because api calls return 0 results , probably there is an issue with that api call , however user can search for a movie , show , etc... , show all movies in his collection , etc.... , user settings were not implemented , or admin configs in app were not implemented , this is just a player , for administrative settings user must use streama webserver . This app in windows uses vlc libraries , this means that user does not need to install anything in windows to make it work , just extract the app , run the executable , go to settings and insert his user data and server domain or ip , and the app will save that config for later login . App was not made for multi user , app right now it is working only for a single user .
Android and macos will be done later , but do not have much faith in the macos version .
