External dictionary not working

I'm trying to use German and English dictionary. Unfortunately, it looks like cspell is not able to detect the German dict.

This is my .cspell.yaml in project's root:

Does someone know whats the cause of the issue?

The config was wrong... could solve it :)

There seems to be the same issue with npm. (npx cspell . --gitignore --no-cache --show-suggestions)

What happens if you remove node_modules and run bun i before running bun cspell .

CSpell searches for imported files from the location of the config file.

repo/
|- .config/
   |- .cspell.yaml
|- project/
   |- package.json
   |- node_modules/@cspell/dict-de-ch

When .config/.cspell.yaml imports a file it must be found in .config/ or above. It will not find it in project/nodes_modules.

There are a few workarounds:

• install @cspell/dict-de-ch in the repo root or under .config instead of project.
• install cspell in project
• change the import to use a CDN:
