KAFKA connect

Hi any kafka connect users here? who has integrated with Schema Registry and any JDBC sink connector? so that the resulting set in topic is AVRO format?

Aim is read from Oracle (possible using camel jdbc connector), use someform of data convertion to AVRO and then store to topic?

I read about confluent, but I am not 100% is it will work on strimzi. if anyone has tried please let me know or if you think nothing can stpop it working, I will give it a go :-) )
