Interesting. I find the assertion code in the main branch of the Vulkan-Hpp, but not in my local file (from Vulkan SDK 1.3.296). What is your VK_HEADER_VERSION?

Also, could you give me more context where the error occurred from? (such like stack trace, call stacks)

well my vulkan sdk is

Vulkan Instance Version: 1.4.303
VK_LAYER_KHRONOS_validation (Khronos Validation Layer) Vulkan version 1.3.296, layer version 1:

i fixed those errors by doing exactly as the error says

but now i am getting segfault at framebuffer

I tested this project works well in macOS (MoltenVK) and Windows (NVIDIA MX150, i5-8250U Intel Graphics), but not in Linux.

This is what I suspect... framebuffers is type of std::vector<vk::raii::Framebuffer> whose each element is associated with the swapchain images, therefore SEGFAULT at subscripting the vector means maybe size of the vector is zero...? Could you please check that variable?

It it is the cause, I suspect this line is the problematic:

The spec says maxImageCount may zero. Could you check it please?

Well, I can at least properly load model and skybox in Asahi Fedora Linux + Wayland.

I merged the problematic code fix into the master branch, and checked this fixes the SEGFAULT in framebuffers subscript operation. Checkout the master branch will fix your issue (you still have to add free descriptor set flags as I didn't patch it).
