code examples in repo are not working #2

im unsure whether my issue is that im utilising this book nearly 5y after publication, but im finding that starting in chapter2, the code examples do NOT have the expected results displayed in the book: trying to manually create netnamespaces, and their VETHs, doesnt result in successful connections. im utilising UBUNTU boxes for M4 mac w VBOX as the provisioner.
again, im unsure whether this is bcz im going thru this text 5y later and the pkgs and tools have changed in the meantime, but things like, not being able to see the docker netnamespace in the IP output or the /VAR/RUN dir structure is markedly different than what is shown in the text is at once off-putting and confusion.
unsure whether there is any chance of this repo getting a refresh outside of another edition of the book.
