styles generated with @emotion/css are not flipped

Hey there!
The title is pretty self-explanatory. The thing is that I'd like to be able to use the css function of the @emotion/css package over @emotion/react's sometimes, but it appears the styles generated by @emotion/css's function do not get flipped.
Is this an expected behaviour? If yes why?
