Users are really confused by what displays for the typeahead options. Often there are oddities in what displays due to poor data quality (semicolons in names), or no results are returned when the user searches using a search field from the dropdown but the typeahead offered is not from that category.

The example given was to search Stewart Brand with "Name" selected from the dropdown. One option that appears is 525. steward brand, 1983. But when you select that and search, you are shown no results.

In some ways, this feels like user error and a misunderstanding of how to use the application. On the other hand, I can see that some of the options offered in the typeahead can be confusing, misleading, and send users to something they aren't looking for.
