Question: Why Does Djoser Use Underscores (`_`) Instead of Hyphens (`-`) as Separators?

I noticed that Djoser uses underscores (_) as separators in its URL patterns instead of hyphens (-).

According to REST best practices, hyphens are generally preferred for URL readability and consistency (e.g., my-endpoint instead of my_endpoint).

Question

Is there a specific reason why underscores were chosen over hyphens in Djoser’s URL structure?
Would it be possible to update this for better alignment with REST conventions?

My guess is they are trying to keep the project lean and therefore avoid rewriting rest_framework.decorators.action.
