The stable version of Video.js is (currently) 8.3.0:

• https://www.npmjs.com/package/video.js

videojs-player currently depends on Video.js 7.x.

Suggested solution

Make videojs-player compatible with Video.js 8.x.

This seems similar to issue #456. The solution might resolve both issues.
