Custom panel widget doesn't call afterRender and doesn't listen to isDefaultRender

Hi, I'm trying to create a custom widget which is based upon a panel.
When trying this the afterRender() function doesn't seem to be called and no matter if isDefaultRender is true or not, it always renders the default panel.

The panel and it's descendants are not questions and for now can'be be overriden via a custom widget. We'll investigate your case and update this thread.
