Alternative syntax to parenthesis for group layouts

This is in reference to creating groups with the advanced layout feature that SvelteKit offers.

I am wondering if there is any alternative syntax that could be used that are not parenthesis?

Example:

/route/(app)/foo

The reason parenthesis are problematic is that if you are using CLI tools, you need to escape the parenthesis.

An example:

git diff -- src/routes/\(app\)/foo

It will be nice to use other syntax or wrappers other than parenthesis.

I don't think there are any good alternatives (which are not already used for something else).

Thanks for getting back to me @brunnerh. I understand this and won't pursue this idea any further. Feel free to lock this discussion or keep it open if someone else comes up with an alternative or shares the same issues.
