HMR is ultra slow

I recently upgraded svelte kit from version 352 to 570.
I'm seeing 30 seconds for some text on an empty page to update after hitting save.
On my other more advance pages, it takes about 2-3 minutes for the HMR to kick in.

I have no idea how to diagnose this, just wondering if anyone are experiencing something simular and maybe know something?

The HMR worked just fine before i upgraded.

Been testing with svelte kit 530 and vite 3.1.8, still there. My project is pretty big, seems like vite is struggeling hard on the cpu
Could circular dependencies cause this? hmm
Yeah, vite is taking 100% of its cpu under the HMR and when HMR is finished it goes to 0%. It is clearly chewing on something. Is there any way to diagnose what vite is chewing on?

Been able to narrow it down to some tailwindcss problems

Downgrading tailwindcss to v3.0.9 fixed it (probably other versions works too)
