Svelte 5: Rune to Store and vice versa

Describe the problem

Converting stores to runes ist not trivial If you want to keep the StartStopNotifier functionality. An example would be converting the page store in SvelteKit into a rune.

Describe the proposed solution

Provide a new rune that converts stores to runes and vice versa.

Im pretty sure that implementation does not repect the StartStopNotifier. It simply subscribes to the store on creation.

Why do you need to convert stores to runes at all?
Stores reactivity still works in Svelte 5 and is even detected as a dependency in $effect.

Because then you can use reactive values without declaring them in the top scope.

For example you loop over an array which contains reactive values, like stores, to create elements, but you cannot subscribe nicely to them within the markup as the dollar sign syntax wont be available.

For that I want to convert Observables to Runes, and as the Svelte Store contract is nearly the same to an Observable, I am searching for this too

Edit: Or you have an array of observable values which contains observable values again.
For example a dynamically created list of search results which in turn fetch data for the result and the fetched data has states like "loading" | "fetched" etc (TanStackQuery), in other words it emits more than one value, so a reactive value here would make sense.

Also given that Chrome started working on the Observable proposal, it would make sense for Svelte to have good Observable support also with runes.
