As documented in #14784, one of the downsides of
untracktoday is that it sets the active reaction tonull. This is highly problematic as it leads to the effect tree being malformed – as shown with the test case. Instead of settingactive_reactiontonullwe instead use anuntrackingflag. To prevent breaking changes, writes inside ofuntrackare permitted.This doesn't fix the issues are making writes inside
untrackpossibly causing glitching, but I think fixing the bigger issue of the effect tree being mangled is probably as important.
