I would like to discuss the idea to expose country descriptions for external usage.

The openHAB framework provides a dynamically - sometimes UI based - way of configuring internal services. One of them is based on the Jollyday library. Currently we download and import the properties file from this repository and parse it on our own to make use of the available country descriptions and populate selections to the users based on the given restrictions: The selection of the country will affect the possible options that can be selected on region and the selection of the region affects the possible options of the city. It would be very nice to get access to the internal data of the Jollyday library (e.g. via a country description provider interface) to share and minimize resources. What do you think about that? How can it be implemented? I like to volunteer for implementing this feature.
