Choice of MS-PL license #1174

Since SVG-NET is a fork of the SVG.NET C# library originally created by Microsoft, I can understand how the license is MS-PL. Our legal team has a problem with MS-PL and while I appreciate that's more our problem than yours, I wonder if there is any possibility that alternative licenses have been considered for this project (e.g. MIT)? Thank you. |

I don't think that this is possible with a reasonable effort, see for example this question. As far as I understand (not being a lawyer), we would need the agreement of all contributors (including Microsoft). Given that the project lived in CodePlex before, it would even be difficult to find the contributors, let alone getting them all to consent. |

So while I understand the problem, I don't see an easy solution (also given that the project is still in need of a new maintainer).
